Accra, Ghana – Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, has called for calm and patience over demands for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to immediately disclose the Black Stars' budget, particularly for their upcoming international engagements.

In a press briefing, Kofi Adams emphasized that while accountability is important, timing and process must also be respected. He described the ongoing public outcry as “unnecessary antagonism” towards the GFA, which, he believes, may undermine preparations and internal operations.

“Let’s not politicize the budget of our national team. There are processes in place to review and disclose figures at the appropriate time,” he stated.

Calls for budget transparency have grown louder in recent weeks, especially with Ghana’s involvement in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and continental competitions. Critics argue that taxpayers deserve full disclosure of national team expenditure.

However, Kofi Adams insists that premature pressure could destabilize team morale and distract from performance goals. He also hinted that the Ministry will issue a full report once administrative and audit protocols are completed.

✅ Conclusion:
While the public continues to demand openness in sports financing, the Sports Minister’s appeal for patience highlights the balance between transparency and trust in systems. All eyes remain on the GFA and Ministry for timely accountability as the Black Stars gear up for a pivotal season.
