At the recently concluded Forum of Oil and Gas in Africa (FOGA) in Luanda, Angola, Dr. Ben K.D. Asante, former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company, proposed the establishment of an African Energy College. This institution would serve as a center for excellence in energy education, research, and innovation, tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the African continent

Dr. Asante highlighted the pressing need for a specialized institution that can equip African professionals with the requisite skills and knowledge to drive the continent's energy agenda.
