Asante Kotoko SC is set to retain one of its key players, goalkeeper Frederick Asare, following a mutual agreement in principle to extend his contract ahead of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.
The promising shot-stopper, who joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2022 from WAFA, has emerged as a consistent performer and fan favorite, thanks to his commanding presence between the posts and impressive reflexes. His current deal was due to expire at the end of the season, but both parties have now reached a verbal understanding that will see Asare remain at the club beyond 2025.
