Accra, Ghana – The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has issued a firm directive to the management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, urging immediate and sustained measures to enhance safety and quality of care for patients at the facility.
During a high-level visit to the hospital on Monday, the Minister emphasized that Korle Bu, as the largest referral hospital in Ghana, must set the benchmark for safe and reliable healthcare delivery in the country.

The CEO of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah, welcomed the Minister’s concerns and promised a renewed commitment to quality assurance.

Dr. Ampomah added that the hospital had initiated efforts to improve sanitation, digital records management, and triage systems in key departments.
