The Minister of Energy and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, has extended a heartfelt gesture by donating food and essential items to various children’s homes in Kumasi.
The donation, which included bags of rice, cooking oil, cartons of milk, bottled water, canned goods, and other nutritious staples, was aimed at supporting the daily needs of orphans and underprivileged children in these facilities.
Speaking during the presentation, NAPO emphasized the importance of giving back to society, especially to the most vulnerable.
“These children are our collective responsibility. It is our duty to ensure they feel loved, supported, and cared for,” he said.
The managers of the beneficiary homes expressed profound gratitude, noting that the donation came at a critical time when resources were dwindling.
“NAPO’s consistent kindness over the years has made a real difference in the lives of our children,” remarked the administrator of one of the homes.
This act of charity comes as part of NAPO’s broader efforts to uplift communities in the Ashanti Region, both through his political role and personal philanthropic initiatives.
