Musah Superior Predicts Bawumia's Victory in NPP’s 2028 Flagbearer Contest

Accra, Ghana – June 10, 2025
Musah Superior, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission, has declared that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the most likely candidate to lead the party into the 2028 presidential elections.

Speaking in an exclusive media interaction, Musah Superior emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s dedication, competence, and ideological alignment with the NPP's vision for Ghana. According to him, the Vice President’s leadership style and performance during his tenure have earned him broad-based support within the party, especially among the grassroots.

“Dr. Bawumia’s service to the NPP and the nation is unmatched. His intellectual capacity, loyalty to the party, and humility make him the natural choice for 2028,” Musah Superior stated.

This assertion comes barely months after Dr. Bawumia secured the party’s ticket for the 2024 general election, where he is expected to face stiff competition from the opposition. However, regardless of the 2024 outcome, Musah Superior believes Bawumia will remain a key figure in the NPP’s future.

He also addressed concerns about internal divisions, urging party members to rally around Bawumia and maintain unity beyond 2024. “The NPP is bigger than any individual. But if we want to remain relevant and progressive, we must continue with visionary leaders like Dr. Bawumia,” he added.

Political analysts have noted that while it is still early to forecast the 2028 flagbearer race, endorsements such as this signal the beginning of long-term strategic positioning within the party.

As Ghana’s political climate continues to evolve, Musah Superior’s prediction may serve as a harbinger of intra-party dynamics that will shape the post-2024 NPP leadership trajectory.
