She contended that the President's speech did not accurately reflect the current challenges facing the nation, particularly issues of lawlessness, job revocations, and insecurity. Appiagyei emphasized that, 50 days into President Mahama's tenure, these pressing concerns remain unaddressed, and she urged the administration to present concrete plans to tackle them.

Earlier in February 2025, Appiagyei condemned what she described as harassment of former government officials, following reported raids on the residences of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and former Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul. She called for an immediate cessation of such actions and insisted that due legal processes be observed, warning against the use of security forces for political vendettas, which she believes could lead to increased lawlessness.

Appiagyei's remarks highlight her concerns about the current administration's approach to governance, emphasizing the need for adherence to the rule of law and the implementation of effective strategies to address the nation's pressing issues.
