The System Will Fight You, But Be Bold – Afenyo-Markin Urges Deputy Minister Nominee to Push for Reforms
Deputy Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has advised a Deputy Minister nominee to remain resolute in the face of resistance while pushing for real reforms within government institutions.
Speaking during the nominee’s parliamentary vetting, Afenyo-Markin acknowledged that bureaucratic systems often resist change, but urged the nominee to be bold and committed to driving necessary transformations for national progress.
“The system will fight you, but you must stand firm. Reforms are never easy, especially when entrenched interests are at play. However, the country needs bold leaders who are ready to push for real change,” he stated.
