SML Suit: I Stand by Everything I Wrote – Manasseh Azure Files Defence
Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has reaffirmed his stance on his reports concerning the revenue assurance contract between Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited (SML) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), as he formally files his defense in an ongoing legal battle.
Manasseh, who was sued by SML over his investigative publication, insists that his work was based on credible evidence and serves the public interest. In his legal response, he maintained that his findings on the alleged irregularities surrounding the contract were thoroughly researched and factual.
“I stand by everything I wrote. Investigative journalism is meant to hold institutions accountable, and I will not be intimidated into silence,” he stated.
